Art inspired by champagne? We’re so in.
If your weekend ahead is looking a little culture-light, we have the perfect antidote. This is your last chance to see the Solaire Culture exhibition that’s taken over Piccadilly Circus, which runs until Tuesday 6 June.
London is the grand finale for this global exhibition by Veuve Clicquot, after stints in Tokyo and Los Angeles.
Brought about by a women-only team, the exhibition sees curator Camille Morineau and designer Constance Guisset take you on a journey through Veuve Clicquot’s 250 years of history. They celebrate Madame Clicquot, who took the helm at the champagne house in 1805 (making her one of the world’s first female entrepreneurs). The exhibition also includes pieces by nine renowned female artists, including Yayoi Kusama and Sheila Hicks, who were given carte blanche on their pieces to deliver an original artwork inspired by Madame Clicquot.

As well as filling up on art and history, make sure you drop into the café before you go to try the menu, created in partnership with the fabulous Andi Oliver and inspired by Caribbean family flavours.
Best of all, the exhibition is free to attend. Book now through the website or just rock up on the day, as walk-ins are accepted. All in all, it’s the perfect weekend mooch.
