If we had the magical power of being able to turn anything we wanted into gold, when flying, we would obviously always travel first class. Alas, we don't posses the aforementioned skill, so we always have to go the economy route (just think of us as Kristen Wiig in Bridesmaids).

That doesn't mean, however, that we stop fantasizing about being able to fly in the lap of luxury, especially when the world's best first-class airline seats have just been revealed.

As part of a recent survey conducted by Flightfox, an online travel company, the top most luxurious first-class cabins have been whittled down to a list of 24.

In the number one spot is Singapore Suites, which boasts actual beds, instead of a chair that folds back into a bed, there's also a very high level of privacy, with your very own room available. Other plus points include a set of pyjamas and you can sup Dom Perignon. A ticket for one of these seats would set you back at least £2,037.

Second one up is Cathay Pacific's first class suites which also offers pyjamas and champagne, but also has the added extra of caviar.

Emirates airlines gets a modest third spot with its luxury cabins, which also include having your own personal bar. While they give passengers their own set of pyjamas (which every line appears to offer), they also have a few more extras such as access to a limo, caviar and Dom Perignon.

Number four on the list is Etihad, the official airline U.A.E. If you were to take a first-class flight with this particular brand, you could expect a perfectly-flat bed at 6'8'' (so even tall people will be comfortable), your own personal chef, a personal mini-bar and a personal wardrobe, among many other benefits, although you should note that you will not get caviar with this flight.

Fifth on the luxurious list is the German airline Lufthansa which offers many plus points for booking first-class, such as a limo and champagne. But if you really want to see what you'd be forking out your hard-earned cash for, why not take a look around it here.

Not quite making the top five is Oman airlines, whose flight to the UK would set you back £2,395. The price includes caviar and champagne, but alas there is no personal chef here. That said, the food is rated very highly.

Qatar first class is seventh on the list and comes in at a very reasonable £418.

If you're flying from NYC to Asia, the best and most luxurious way to do that is by taking the Asiana airlines first-class cabin.
