Consider your spring plans sorted. Here are seven of the hottest new immersive openings to know – and book – now.
Come evenings or weekends, and especially after a long, tiring week at work, an event usually has to be pretty special to tempt us away from the sofa. Luckily for us – those within travelling distance of the capital especially – there’s no shortage of weird and wonderful experiences to fill our social calendar with, from movie-inspired dining to trendy aperitivo bars. And what’s more, exciting new ones seem to pop up weekly, meaning there’s always something to see or do.
So whether you’re an art buff or a nature geek, a film fan or just looking for a fun day out, here are seven of the best new immersive experiences you need on your radar for spring.
Dopamine Land
There really is no better place to release your inner child than this multisensory experience combining media, technology and play in one place. Whether you want to unplug from the world in the decompression room or immersive yourself in the limitless light space, there’s something for all ages in this magical place.

Dalí : Cybernetics
Discover the surrealist masterpieces of the celebrated Catalonian artist up-close and personal and from a new perspective. Using interactive installations, holograms and AI, you’ll come face-to-face with some of Dalí’s most famous works.

Disney Wonder Of Friendship
To mark 100 years of dynamic duos, unlikely pals and inseparable friends, Disney is opening the doors to a stunning multisensory pop-up experience celebrating its most iconic characters and stories, from The Lion King to Lilo and Stitch.

Colors Festival
An art lover’s dream: embark on a sensory journey through a multitude of exhibitions and installations, including XXL works spread across 1000m² of exhibition space. BBC Earth Experience
Featuring bespoke narration from David Attenborough himself, BBC Earth Experience showcases breathtaking footage and music from the BBC Studios Natural History Unit television series Seven Worlds, One Planet, projected on multiple multi-angle screens using the very latest digital screen technology.

Art Unplugged: Jack Dartford, Monolith
Monolith marks a striking new art pop-up collaboration between the ADOT Foundation, the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) and artist Jack Dartford, raising awareness around anxiety. The powerful soundtrack is combined with millions of digital particles projected onto screens, culminating in an emotive sensory experience.
