From this experience, I’ve learned that it is OK to catch the ick; it’s not necessarily something I’m doing wrong. Instead, I’ve become too caught up in analysing whether there was something I needed to change when I probably just haven’t met the right person for me yet. Instead of dreading dating and overthinking everything, I’m going to focus on the positives of meeting new people for the time being. There are always benefits to making new friends and having new adventures, even if there’s no romance in the end.
