This week's lunchtime masterclass is with Charles Worthington, one of the UK’s most influential and stylish hairdressers who is celebrating 25 years in the industry this year.

Veteran hair stylist Charles Worthington originally trained to become an architect but decided instead on hairdressing, opening his first salon 25 years ago. Back then he had just one stylist and his sister on reception.

He is now creative director of his three London salons, servicing over 2,500 clients a week. He attracts many celebrities clients and has created looks for the likes of Gemma Arterton, Erin O’Connor and Sharon Stone. He is constantly on call for red carpet events, from the BAFTAs to Cannes and the Golden Globes to the Oscars.

In 2006 he was listed in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List and was awarded an MBE for Services to Hairdressing.

Charles is personally involved in developing and testing his increasing portfolio of award winning products, right from the formulation stage to the finished product on the shelf. Twenty five years after creating his first salon Charles is still firmly at the forefront of creative hairdressing.
