Debate: Was Thatcher good for women?

Baroness Margaret Thatcher died this morning (April 8 2013) following a stroke. She was one of Britain’s most controversial Prime Ministers, leaving a strongly mixed legacy in her wake.

Opinions differ wildly on whether or not Thatcher was a worthy icon for women, with some critics claiming that she was the ultimate feminist icon for rising to the pinnacle of power, while others vehemently insisting that she only made things worse for women by refusing to support other women, in both her policies and statements.

Last year we asked 'Was Thatcher a feminist? and now it’s your turn to give us your opinion on the Iron Lady. Love her or hate her, please leave your comments below.
