Usher’s Carpool Karaoke with James Corden is easily the most hilarious yet

James Corden has had some seriously big names join him for is (now) iconic Carpool Karaoke segment. Think Michelle ObamaEd Sheeran, Victoria Beckham, AdeleGwen StefaniLady GagaSia, Harry Styles, and Jennifer Hudson, to name just a few.

But now Usher – as in, OMG, actual Usher – has climbed inside the passenger seat, bringing with him his powerful vocals, slick dance moves, and wicked sense of humour.

The result? One of the best ever Carpool Karaoke videos to date (and we don’t say that lightly).

“I thought you’d never ask me,” joked Usher, as he joined Corden for an unforgettable ride around Los Angeles.

It’s not long before the pair are belting out Yeah! (and, as ever, Corden holds his own in the vocal stakes) – but they soon take a break from their sing-song when they notice that they’re coming up to Usher’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“Do you keep it clean?” asks Corden, pulling up to get out and check. “Do you take care of it?”

Usher, hooking up an eyebrow, replies: “'I try. I mean I just find it odd you work all these years as hard as you can only to have people walk all over you as a star.”

The pair soon get down on their knees to give the pavement a good old scrub – much to the surprise of passers by.

“Are you Usher, man?” one asks in confusion.

“Would Usher be cleaning his own star?” snaps Corden, only for the fan to reply that obviously he would, yeah. Usher’s a straight-up guy, apparently.

Usher also gives Corden a one-on-one lesson on how to properly stroll up into the club.

“You have to get your walk right. Pull up and turn to the side', swaggering in,” he says.

Simple enough, but… well, Corden didn’t quite get it.

And they even helped a few guys who were experiencing car trouble:

When the pair finally made it back to the car, they began duetting on I Don't Mind, which includes the controversial lyric 'I'm proud to call you my b****'.

Calling Usher out on the line, Corden says: “See, that's where I feel you fall down. The whole song is like ‘I don't mind, you're terrific’, then it's like ‘I'm proud to call you my b****’. That doesn't feel quite as respectful as you think it is!”

Usher, laughing off Corden’s comments, responds: “There's a place for every term and you have to think about when you're using it.

“If you're in an argument and you call your girl that, you're going to get slapped!”

Well, quite.
