“These are the things that make women self conscious.” Zendaya slams magazine for airbrushing her thighs

People really should learn not to mess with Zendaya's natural beauty - because she will call them out.

The ex-Disney star has released "shocking" images that show how a US magazine used Photoshop to shave her limbs down to minuscule proportions in a photo shoot.

Publishing Modeliste magazine's digitally altered photograph alongside the original on Instagram, the  19-year-old singer and actor says: "These are the things that make women self conscious, that create the unrealistic ideals of beauty that we have."

The magnanimous star goes on to thank the magazine for removing the unrealistic image, confirming that she "loved" the original, unaltered shot.

It's not the first time someone has taken liberties with Zendaya's natural looks. Earlier this year she hit the headlines when she expertly shot down Fashion Police's Giuliana Rancic for racist comments the presenter made about her dreadlocks.

Zendaya's not the only star to call out the industry's Photoshop habit:

Lorde

Ashley Benson

Kate Winslet

Back in 2003 the actress slammed GQ for airbrushing her thighs to reduce their size "by a third".
