Nobody, and we mean nobody, had a better time at the awards ceremony than the gong-winning actress.
If there was anyone who earned a break after the Golden Globes, it was Sandra Oh.
The Canadian actress not only hosted the awards ceremony alongside Andy Samberg, she brought the house down with a joke about the infamously whitewashed films Ghost in the Shell and Aloha (starring Scarlett Johansson and Emma Stone respectively).
Not only that, but she slayed on the red carpet with her Killing Eve co-star Jodie Comer – then ended up with a Golden Globe of her own for her performance in the Phoebe Waller-Bridge produced series.
Phew. No wonder Oh changed out of her Versace gown and heels and into a Goop jumpsuit, Veja sneakers and a neck full of diamonds at the after-party (pictured above).
But it’s the outfit that Oh wore on the morning after the Golden Globes that has been going viral today. Celebrating her incredibly successful night, Oh reclined on the floor of her hotel suite with a room service breakfast demolished all around her, resplendent in a grey marl onesie.
Hair pushed back and face free of make-up, Oh retained one thing from the previous evening’s look: she was still wearing her diamond necklace.

The beauty trend that reigned supreme at the 2019 Golden Globes
This, ladies and gentlemen, is the energy we want to bring into 2019. This is the mood we will be hoping to recreate all year, equal parts confidence, supreme satiation and just a touch of something extra. This is fashionable, this is funny, this is fabulous.
And this image is a reminder that, ultimately, the glitz and the glamour of awards shows like the Golden Globes is mostly artifice. Hollywood demands that female celebrities adhere to strict fashion and beauty archetypes on the red carpet: breathtaking gown, lacquered hair, face free of flaws and imperfections. The heels must be high, the jewels must be blingy, the dresses must be on point.
It seems a little insane to point it out, but those same expectations do not apply to male celebrities. While the red carpet is opening up more and more to men who want to dress beyond the black tuxedo (hello, Timothée Chalamet), the majority of actors at awards shows are still clad in simple suits. Their grooming routine might consist of a dab of moisturiser and a brush through their hair or beard. That’s usually about it.
Women are not afforded such nonchalance when it comes to the red carpet. Which is why it is refreshing to see someone like Oh – the undisputed queen of the Golden Globes and the night’s MVP – exposing just how much of an obstacle course awards season is for women.

While the images from the red carpet tell a story of photo-ready perfection, this behind-the-scenes snap reveals the comical reality of a night out for a woman in Hollywood. It starts with hours and hours of hair and make-up and ends, the next morning, with a demolished plate of eggs Benedict, an IV of caffeine, a canister of paracetamol and, if you’re lucky, a new trophy for the mantelpiece.
Fans loved seeing Oh’s picture on social media. “She switched the victory jumpsuit for a victory onesie and kept the bling on underneath,” one tweeted. “We LOVE Sandra Oh.”
Another added: “This new year, I pledge to be more Sandra Oh.”
But the best response to Oh’s picture was the one shared by her former co-star Ellen Pompeo, who played Meredith to Oh’s Christina on Grey’s Anatomy.
“This is a pretty sweet sight I gotta say,” Pompeo tweeted. “@IamSandraOh no one deserves this more.”
