Reese Witherspoon to play Tinker Bell in Disney feature film

Disney has yet another live-action film in the works, produced by and starring Reese Witherspoon, who'll play the lead role as mischievous fairy Tinker Bell.
The Hollywood Reporter are reporting that the movie will be titled 'Tink', and will explore the back story of Peter Pan's beloved sidekick.
According to IMDb, Victoria Strouse (who penned upcoming Pixar sequel Finding Dory, to be released next year) will write the screenplay - but it's not yet known who will star alongside the Wild star. Witherspoon will produce with Bruna Papandrea, her partner at production company Pacific Standard.
It's rumoured that Tink was rushed onto Disney’s slate after rival studio Twentieth Century Fox announced its own live action Tinker Bell movie back in November, starring Bridesmaids’ Melissa McCarthy as the naughty fairy. Following the success of Disney's latest reboots Maleficent, Cinderella and Alice In Wonderland, we have no doubt it has huge box office potential.
And that's not the last of the Peter Pan revival. Later this year, Warner Bros. will release Joe Wright's Pan, starring Hugh Jackman, Garret Hedlund, and Rooney Mara - a prequel to the original story about the boy who never grew up.
This news comes hot on the heels of confirmation that director Bill Condon is making a Beauty and the Beast film with Emma Watson; Tim Burton is working on an adaptation of Dumbo; writer Peter Hedges is reworking Pinocchio; and Elizabeth Martin and Lauren Hynek are scripting a new Mulan - so no matter who your favourite characters are, there's plenty more magic to come.
