Peaches Geldof has been found dead at an address in Kent following a report of concern for the welfare of a woman.

The 25-year-old daughter of Bob Geldof and the late Paula Yates, was found by police who were called to a property near Wrotham this afternoon.

According to a statement obtained by ITV News from Kent Police, officers were called to the address at 1:35pm following "a report of concern for the welfare of a woman."

"A woman aged 25 was pronounced dead by South East Coast Ambulance Service," it said. "At this stage, the death is being treated as an unexplained and sudden death. Officers are working to establish the circumstances around the death."

She leaves behind her husband Thomas Cohen and their sons two-year-old Astala Dylan Willow and one year-old Phaedra Bloom Forever.

Paying tribute to his daughter, singer Bob Geldof said: "Peaches has died. We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing 'was' destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable?

"We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is. Tom and her sons Astala and Phaedra will always belong in our family, fractured so often, but never broken. Bob, Jeanne, Fifi, Pixie and Tiger Geldof."

Her husband Thomas Cohen said: "My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons Astala and Phaedra and I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts everyday. We shall love her forever. Thomas Astala and Phaedra Geldof-Cohen."

Yesterday the TV presenter released a picture on social media of her as a baby with her late mother, who died of a heroin overdose in 2000, at the age of 41, when Peaches was 11.

Peaches told Elle in 2012, how difficult her mother's death had been on her.

"I remember the day my mother died, and it's still hard to talk about it. I just blocked it out. I went to school the next day because my father's mentality was 'keep calm and carry on'," she said.
