Orange is the New Black star Samira Wiley has married her partner, the show’s writer Lauren Morelli, in a picturesque outdoor wedding in California.

The couple, who have been dating for two years after meeting on set of Netflix’s hit prison drama, both wore Christian Siriano outfits for the ceremony on Saturday. Wiley, aka Poussey Washington, chose a white off-shoulder gown with sweetheart neckline and Morelli opted for a white jumpsuit complete with embroidered overlay and a sweeping cape.

Foregoing the traditional wedding march, the pair walked together up the aisle to Montell Jordan's This Is How We Do It for a ceremony officiated by Wiley's parents. Justin Bieber's Baby then played as the newlyweds made their grand entrance into the reception, according to Martha Stewart Weddings, which had exclusive access to the nuptials.

The pair shared the same touching image from the day showing them looking into each others’ eyes amid a backdrop of palm trees and purple flowers.

Morelli, 34, captioned her shot “Wifey for Lifey” while Wiley, 29 shared the picture using the hashtag  #aboutlastnight:

Wiley also showed off one of the couple’s more humorous wedding cards, from the show’s Danielle Brooks, who plays Taystee:

An Instavid taken of the pair after the ceremony shows, according to Morelli, “1/1000th” of the couple’s excitement on their big day:

Morelli was married to a man when she began writing OINTB in 2012 and has spoken candidly about coming to the realisation she was gay.

“I realised I was gay in fall 2012, one of my first days on the set, she told Mic. It wasn't so much one thing, but the sum of many small details: how uncomfortable I felt around groups of lesbians or how I considered myself (shrug) a ‘not very sexual person.’

“When considered alone, these seemed like little quirks that made me me. Wanting to read a book instead of have sex is a perfectly reasonable preference to have, right?”

She filed for divorce from her husband, Steve Basilone, in September 2014 and announced her engagement to Wiley a month later:

For her part, Wiley, who was openly gay among family and friends, has said of her partner: “Being with Lauren has taught me self-love.”

"I think - I know - that I would not be where I am without Lauren,” she told Out. ““When I was first being thrust into the public eye, I wouldn't talk about my orientation.”

Gay marriage has been legal in California since 2008 and in all other states since 2015.
