It turns out that Oprah Winfrey is just like the rest of us when it comes to making an important life decision: she looks for a sign.

Since Winfrey took to the stage to receive the Cecil B. DeMille award during the Golden Globes last month, her inspirational speech on sexual assault has sparked presidential chatter.

Although the media mogul may have previously voiced her unwillingness to run for presidency in 2020, there might be some hope yet. In an interview with People, Winfrey revealed the one thing that could make her change her mind: a sign from God.

“I went into prayer,” Winfrey said, after friends and family asked her to consider running for presidency. “‘God, if you think I’m supposed to run, you got to tell me, and it has to be so clear that not even I can miss it.’ And I haven’t gotten that.”

The A Wrinkle In Time actress even admits that her best friend, CBS co-host Gayle King, asked her to really take it seriously and often sends her messages of support from people around the country - but King doesn’t support it herself.

“Gayle - who knows me as well as I know myself practically - has been calling me regularly and texting me things, like a woman in the airport saying, ‘When’s Oprah going to run?’” Oprah previously told InStyle. “So Gayle sends me these things, and then she’ll go, ‘I know, I know, I know! It wouldn’t be good for you - it would be good for everyone else.’” 

Winfrey has even had people come up to her offering to financially support her (possible) campaign.

“I had people - wealthy, billionaires - calling me up and saying, ‘I can get you a billion dollars. I can run your campaign,”‘ Winfrey said. “That many people saying something made me think, ‘Am I at least supposed to look at the question?’”

Well, we’ve got our fingers crossed that she receives a sign soon.
