Fashion lovers would pay through the nose for a wedding dress designed by the Olsen twins, but one lucky friend of the star - stylist Molly Fishkin - got the honour of being the recipient of a bespoke designed piece for her big day by childhood friends Mary-Kate and Ashley.

The child stars turned designers, both 28, are known for TV show Full House and films like New York Minute. But they moved away from acting and started their own high-end fashion label The Row in 2006. Upon hearing of their friend's engagement, they offered to contribute to the wedding by creating a dress.

Molly, a LA-based stylist who has worked with Katie Holmes, Michelle Pfeiffer and Ellen Paige, told Vogue "The minute I got engaged, they said they would love to design my wedding dress. I was thrilled—their taste is impeccable, and I really trust them."

The dress was made from lace, with long flared sleeves and a scalloped neckline. Mary Kate and Ashley helped the bride into it, making final adjustments on the day - all of which was captured by the wedding photographer Heather Kincaid.

Heather said "the bride commented a few times on how comfortable she was in the dress. Being made specifically for her, it fit her perfectly and you could tell that it made her feel so beautiful, which as the photographer made it so easy to photograph."

The wedding took place in a Los Angeles estate, the Paramour Mansion. As well as the Olsens, guests included Molly's godmother Stevie Nicks, and actresses Malin Ackerman and Amy Smart.

The couple had a traditional Jewish ceremony, followed by an al fresco dinner for the 130 guests, with speeches and a surprise performance of Fleetwood Mac's Landslide by Stevie Nicks. The bride commented "I didn’t want any part of the evening to be uptight. The goal was for people to feel like they could kick off their shoes and run through the grass if they wanted to."

The Olsen's dress added to the relaxed boho feel of the wedding. Mary Kate has also hinted that she may design her own wedding dress for her upcoming nuptials to Olivier Sarkozy, and if this dress is anything to go by, it will be a success.
