You might be praying for divine intervention at this moment, dear reader, but the real-life antidote to the reality of your life right now actually lies in Lizzo.

If you’ve been listening to “Juice” on repeat, or keeping up with the singer on Instagram, you’ll already know that Lizzo is a total hero thanks to her joyous music, fearless positivity and can-do attitude to life. And, quite rightly, she’s riding high right now after winning the 2019 VMAs with her triumphant medley.

How could Lizzo possibly top her own mile-high rise to the top, we hear you say? Only by welcoming Beyoncé into the fold.

Yep, after performing another iconic set at the Made in America festival on Sunday night, Lizzo shared the news that Queen Bey and Jay-Z were watching her performance in the wings.

Because Lizzo is Lizzo though, and is completely down-to-earth, she reacted as any mortal would do when presented with the information that Bey was watching your set just a few feet away. That is to say, with zero chill.

Taking to Instagram, Lizzo shared a behind-the-scenes photo of the power couple watching at the side of the stage during her performance at the Philadelphia event on Sunday night. 

As Lizzo pointed out via a helpful close-up of Beyonce’s face though, the expression on the superstar’s face reads: total amazement. It’s like a superstar recognising a superstar in-the-making. It’s sisterhood, it’s friendship, it’s basically everything the world needs right now.

“Swipe to lose your f–king mind,” she wrote in what can only be described as an extremely relatable caption.

To fully appreciate the post, though, you need to delve further into the comments, where Lizzo’s friends and followers turned up to share in the moment.

Model La’Shaunae wrote: “BEYONCE?! BEYONCE?! BEYONCE?!”, imitating the iconic gif of Tiffany Pollard yelling “Beyoncé??!” during the first season of Flavour of Love.

SZA also commented: “My soul zoomed in,” while another fan added, “Yoooooooo her face tho!!! she is getting her life!”. Well said.

With Beyoncé now fully signed up to the Lizzo Appreciation Society, here’s hoping a collaboration is on the cards sometime soon.
