Little Miss Sunshine reveals her surprisingly sweary favourite book

What will the cheeriest Little Miss make of our existential questions?

How would you describe the colour yellow to someone who can’t see?

Warm rays of sunshine on a cold cloudy day.

What is the difference between right and wrong?

Right and wrong are like yin and yang. You have to get things wrong sometimes in order to get things right. It’s all about the balance.

What is your happy colour?

Yellow, of course!

Nature or nurture?

Nature. The rolling hills of Happyland are where I feel most at home. But it wouldn’t be special without all the Mr Men and Little Misses to keep me company.

Is it more important to be liked or respected?

It is nice to be liked but it is more important to respect other people, animals and the universe. Spreading love and kindness is what makes my world go round.

If you could be remembered for one thing what would it be?

Living life sunny side up, one giggle, smile and chuckle at a time.

Who or what is your greatest love?

I just love a good adventure! Especially if I can share it with all my friends. Do you know we have been to Magicland, the jungle and even travelled to the lost city of Atlantis in Little Miss Dotty’s submarine? It was amazing – although why she bought the submarine is mind-boggling. She is dotty. Gotta love her.

When did you last lie?

Well, I did see Mr Messy this morning and
told him he looked lovely, even though he was still covered in last night’s dinner. Does that count?

<span style=font-style: normal;>My greatest fear is that smiling would be banned from the world. What a miserable place it would be if that were to happen </span>

Does the supernatural exist?

If you mean mermaids, giants, wizards, witches, unicorns, dragons, pixies, flying pigs, walking trees, pink cows, trolls and talking worms… then yes. I’ve seen them.

Are you fatalistic?

I believe you have the power over your own destiny but that some things do happen for a reason. I’m always telling Mr Greedy that eating 10 cream cakes will lead to a little indigestion.

What is your greatest fear?

That smiling would be banned from the world. What a miserable place it would be if that were to happen. Also being stuck in a lift with Mr Messy. He is lovely and soooo creative, but personal hygiene is not top of his list. Or being back on that submarine with Little Miss Dotty. Like I said, she is dotty.

Mr Men or Little Miss?

Little Miss. Girl squad forever.

<span style=font-style: normal;>The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F*ck [by Mark Manson] really resonated with me. Learn to embrace your fears, faults and all </span>

What talent do you yearn for?

I would love to be a good dancer. Little Miss Giggles has some great moves, and I’m rather envious.

Do you like to be complimented?

It makes me feel shy. But I’d be lying if I said it didn’t make me feel good inside.

Do you have a high pain threshold?

I have a positive mental attitude, or PMA, which helps. On my recent visit to the jungle, a huge boa constrictor wrapped its coils round me and my friends. I certainly needed a bit of PMA then, as well as Mr Daydream’s lovely voice to sing the snake to sleep.

What book do you recommend most to others?

Recently I finished reading The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F*ck [by Mark Manson], and it really resonated with me. Learn to embrace your fears, faults and all.

Which lesson has been the hardest to learn?

Some things in life don’t go to plan, but you have to move forward and stay positive.

What food sums up happiness?

Cherry pie with a cup of milky tea.

Who have you never understood?

Mr Bump. Why does he need to bump into everything?

What is the one thing you want to know before you die?

Do worms dream when they sleep? Google won’t tell me the answer, and nor will Walter the Worm.

Are you scared of dying or what happens when you die?

No, I’m not. I live every day as it comes, but I would miss the other Mr Men and Little Misses terribly.

Sunny day or rainy day?

Every day is a sunny day!

Thanks to Little Miss Sunshine; as told to Helen Bownass
