Chrissy Teigen teases Donald Trump on Twitter after a federal judge rules that he can no longer block critics on the social media platform.
Chrissy Teigen has become famously outspoken when it comes to Trump’s right-wing policies, often ensuring she gets her point across by pushing the POTUS’ buttons on Twitter. That was, of course, until she was blocked by him back in July 2017.
Fans will recall that Teigen was blocked after telling Trump: “No one likes you”.
Teigen’s social media post was in response to the 45th president tweeting: “It’s very sad that Republicans, even some that were carried over the line on my back, do very little to protect their President.”
But now, the Lip Sync Battle host is back to business after a federal judge ruled that Trump can no longer block critics on the social media platform.
In the court ruling, District Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald wrote, “This case requires us to consider whether a public official may, consistent with the First Amendment, ‘block’ a person from his Twitter account in response to the political views that person has expressed, and whether the analysis differs because that public official is the President of the United States. The answer to both questions is no.”
And Teigen didn’t waste any time in tweeting the president.
“Well, well, well we meet again,” Teigen posted, along with a video of the news report.
And plenty of other people who’ve been blocked by the President – from author Stephen King to talk show host Rosie O’Donnell – can now get back to business, too. And, of course, people have taken to Twitter to applaud the change.
Surprisingly, Trump has yet to respond…
