From publishing a cookbook and gracing many a beauty campaign to successfully campaigning for women’s rights, Chrissy Teigen has achieved many an accolade throughout her life.

And yet, despite all of this, Teigen’s still been forced to make one thing crystal clear in 2018: she makes her own money.

Taking to Twitter on Monday 12 February the Lip Sync Battle commentator posted a picture of her delicious-looking dinner, that after cooking it, she unfortunately dropped on the floor.

“A bedtime story,” Teigen wrote, seeing the funny side to the unfortunate incident. 

Then one of Teigen’s followers asked her what she decided to do with her dinner (since it had landed on the floor). In true Teigen style, she replied: “Oh, I ate it. I don’t care.”

And then another Twitter user decided to throw some shade Teigen’s way.

“All you do is eat, sleep, shit, and spend other people’s money. My perfect partner,” they posted along with a laughing face emoji. 

Teigen clapped back with two words: “my money”. And posted a link to a Forbes article about the world’s highest-paid models of 2017. It lists her income for the year, from June 2016 to June 2017, at $13.5 million (£9.7 million). 

From shutting down someone who challenged her career on social media to refusing to let someone shame her for using IVF, has no one learned not to mess with Teigen?
