Our favourite Welsh actress, Catherine Zeta Jones, was given a CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) today.
Zeta Jones went to Buckingham Palace with her husband, Michael Douglas and their two children, Dylan and Carys in tow to receive her award from Prince Charles. The Oscar winning actress has been recognised for her services to the film industry and her charity work in last year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours.
She wore a taupe, knee length skirt with slim fitting jacket and wide brimmed, matching hat – every inch the Hollywood star.
She told The Telegraph that; "It means a lot to come home with my family and to be honoured in this way - very emotional, rather nervous I must say, and it was worth (it) to have Michael in good health to be able to enjoy it (with me)."
She seemed to have quite a long chat with Prince Charles and later revealed that they spoke about her husband's health ,and said that Charles had expressed his sympathy. She added; "Obviously we talked about Michael. The last time I saw His Royal Highness, Michael had just got his treatment so he was concerned, but he was very happy to hear... he's well on the road to recovery."
Congratulations!
