“C’mon, get ya Viet buns”: Kate Moss bags new role selling street food in Brick Lane

She’s normally seen on the front row at Burberry, or on the runway for the likes of Marc Jacobs, Alexander McQueen and Stellla McCartney, but this week, Kate Moss has been enjoying a change of pace.

Before hitting the red carpet at the prestigious British Fashion Awards on Monday night, Moss enjoyed an afternoon flogging street food on London’s Brick Lane.

That’s right, the most famous supermodel of the generation has been dishing out Vietnamese buns.

If reports are anything to go by, it sounds like she’s a dab hand, too.

Talking to The Sun newspaper, one passerby said; “Kate is usually seen in the most glamorous settings so she stuck out a mile serving food in Brick Lane.

“There were no airs and graces, though. She got stuck in and played up to the punters. She had a real rapport with them. At one point she started shouting 'C'mon, get ya Viet buns', in a Cockney accent, before bursting into giggles with passing customers.

“It just shows that she is actually quite down-to-earth.”

Nick Moss has run his Vietvan with fiance Tracy Pooley since 2014, after falling in love with Vietnamese flavours during his travels around the country, and training with street food chefs in South East Asia.

But while he’s become a regular at Brick Lane Market, it’s thought to be a first for the supermodel, who recently launched her own talent agency.

That said, if she’s keen for more work she need only turn to Instagram’s comments section, where job offers from other street food vendors have, quite unsurprisingly, flooded in.

Could we soon see Moss join the ranks of London’s finest foodies?
