For a quarter of a century, Links of London has been the jewellery brand for women with an abundance of personal style, sophistication and everyday flair at work, home and play.
To mark the launch of the celebrated British brand’s Splendour collection, Links of London has launched its Women of Splendour initiative by teaming up with three aspirational and innovative women who will front a panel to share the secrets behind their success.
Inspired by the edge and intricacy of London’s Gothic architecture, along with its versatility, the Splendour collection captures the sheer style of women in the UK, their spectrum of achievements and constant ability to redefine themselves.
And just like London’s ever-changing skyline, our three panellists have made some bold changes in their lives to truly shine.
Jakki Jones, Samantha Clarke and Abi Oyepitan all dared to risk diverting from their planned paths to further embrace their creativity and ambition, and use a spark of pure genius to change their direction – and help others along the way.
Talent manager Jakki is the woman behind some of showbiz’s most dazzling careers, mum to a two-year-old daughter and two teenage stepdaughters, and married to Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones.
But not content with simply being one of the most influential women in entertainment, she’s also known as Jakki Doodles, producer of a hugely popular range of cute, quirky and cool greetings cards, inspired by her own doodles, that have adorned the shelves of Selfridges.
Samantha Clarke left a career in branding to dedicate her time to helping others reach their full potential by becoming a self-styled “happiness consultant and change-maker”.
Happiest when inspiring positive changes in others, Samantha works with some of the world’s biggest brands to ensure that employee happiness is top priority to guarantee maximum creativity and innovation.
When Olympian and Commonwealth gold-medal-winning athlete Abi Oyepitan announced her retirement from competitive sports in 2014, she took the risk and tried something completely different by co-creating organic cosmetics line Liha.
Launched with lifelong friend Liha Okunniwa and using West African botanicals and English apothecary, Liha offers a range of handmade beauty products that are innovative, inspiring, 100% vegan, and cruelty- and paraben-free – perfectly tapping into what beauty-lovers are demanding from products nowadays.
