Amber Rose is the latest celebrity to denounce Donald Trump for his comments on women, revealing she knows only too well how a pervading sense of entitlement to women’s bodies in today’s culture often tips over into sexual assault.

Trump was recorded boasting that he could “grab” women “by the pussy” because he was famous during a conversation in 2005.

While he attempted to dismiss the grotesque comments as “locker-room banter”, the release of the recording prompted several women to publicly accuse him of having touched them inappropriately, another tape surfaced in which he remarked of a 10-year-old girl “I am going to be dating her in 10 years” and a hashtag sprang up on Twitter with tens of thousands of women sharing their assault experiences.

And that's before you get into his on-the-record quotes on women's appearances over the years.

Speaking to yahoo.com, Rose says she's lost track of how many similar experiences she's had: “I want him to get in trouble for it because I cannot even count how many times a famous guy touched me inappropriately. Seriously.

“Imagine this: Donald Trump comes and touches me inappropriately, right? I’m a regular ass girl. Do I call 911? Do I get on Twitter and tweet about it? How should I go about letting people know that this guy did it to me and who’s actually going to believe me, you know what I’m saying?”

She adds: “You just try to get over it and it happens to so many women. That’s why I started SlutWalk. We talk about all these issues at SlutWalk.”

The original Slutwalk was founded in 2011, when women rallied in Toronto, Canada, after a police officer told students during a talk, “I've been told I'm not supposed to say this – however, women should avoid dressing like sluts in order not to be victimised.”

Last year, Rose started a similar movement, The Amber Rose Slutwalk Festival, in order to create awareness and promote education on gender equality issues.
