Singer Adele reveals she got ordained and conducted her TV presenter Alan Carr’s wedding earlier this year.
We have friends that’ll always go the extra mile for us, but singer Adele has just proven that her love really knows no bounds as she got ordained just so she could legally marry her two best friends, Alan Carr and Paul Drayton.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday 3 April, the singer shared the news.
“Seeing as the cats out the bag. I married two of my best friends in January. You know me any excuse to dress up…,” she wrote, accompanied by a photo of her dressed in white robes standing in front of hundreds of white roses.
Not only did Adele conduct the ceremony, but she also performed at it too - even singing during their first dance as a couple.
“She’s known me and Paul for ages, and she said, ‘I want to do your special day. Let me do everything,’ Carr revealed to stand-in hosts, Emma Willis and Rylan Clark-Neal on This Morning, just one day after he told The One Show that Adele had hosted the event in her home in L.A.
“Yeah, [it was] in January. We got married in Adele’s back garden, in LA. I’m not giving you any postcodes! She’s known me and Paul for ages.”
Carr and Adele first met back in 2008 at the Brit Awards, and have remained great friends since.
“It was lovely. I just want to tell everyone. She won’t say because she’s so private. Flowers, three-course meal, she just planned it all. It was the best day of our life,” Carr explained.
“I can never repay her, she’s a one-off as we all know.”
Is there anything Adele can’t do?
