While endorsing Harris and Walz, Swift stressed to her followers that the “choice is yours to make”, encouraging them to research the candidates running for election and register to vote.

Many celebrities called out his comments, with American actor Liz Vassey saying: “I had absolutely no idea I was miserable. Thank God there was a man around to tell me.”

Jennifer Aniston also expressed her anger at Vance’s words, saying: “I truly can’t believe this is coming from a potential VP of the United States.

“All I can say is, Mr Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day. I hope she will not need to turn to IVF as a second option. Because you are trying to take that away from her too.”
