Working From Home with Stylist is back for a one off special episode sponsored by Logitech. Download or listen now.

Any novelties of working from home have well and truly passed so this week we return with a special episode to look at the changes we are making to our working world and discuss how we can continue to improve our productivity.

In the episode, editor-in-chief Lisa Smosarski and editor-at-large Alix Walker are joined by Elizabeth Uviebinené, podcaster and author of Slay in Your Lane and Loud Black Girls, and Fiona Thomas, author of Out of Office: Ditch the 9-5 and Be Your Own Boss, to discover their expert tips on how to thrive whilst working from home. Editor of Stylist Loves, Gemma Crisp, picks out her favourite Christmas gifts to send to your colleagues and Logitech’s Clara Torvisco Martez tells us how we can maximise our productivity by improving our at home work stations.

Elizabeth and Fiona, who took to the virtual Stylist Live @ Home stage last month, shared their advice on how to make working from home work for us. Elizabeth Uviebinené recommended dedicating time to investing in relationships while we aren’t meeting people physically, whether chatting to colleagues on WhatsApp or checking in with your network over email.

Fiona Thomas suggested giving yourself a break because this year has been anything but normal. “Forgive yourself for not being as motivated or as busy as you were this time last year,” she tells Lisa.

“Be a bit more realistic with what you can achieve in a day. These aren’t normal times, so you doing your best is going to look different to what doing your best was 12 months ago”.

Lisa and Alix also discuss the need to look after our mental health and Stylist’s new mental health initiative, Work It Out.

Listen to the episode below for more tips on getting the most out of your days while working at home.
