Heavyweights from the world of fashion, music, film and journalism are supporting a new initiative to publicise the untold stories of women and girls affected by gender inequality.
Chime for Change, which launched earlier this year in a Gucci collaboration with Beyonce, Salma Hayek, Frida Giannini, has today unveiled its storytelling platform, led by Mariane Pearl.
Madonna, who joined a star-studded line-up at The Sound Of Change's Twickenham concert last month, voices one of the videos on the site, Humaira: The Dream Catcher:
Pearl described the stories as "Girls and women rising from the ground up to seek justice and build peace."
Executive Producer Salma Hayek said: “We will shine a spotlight on those who are fighting for education, health and justice for girls and women by sharing stories about real people who are speaking out and rising up to change the course of history.
“These films tell intimate, personal stories – but these stories represent universal themes. And now we can all play a part by turning inspiration into action.”
