Tinder is releasing a new feature that will allow you to see who has liked you – before you decide whether to swipe left or right on them.
With a plethora of dating apps now saturating the market and the rise of “dating burnout”, the novelty of endlessly swiping through eligible (and not so eligible) faces has well and truly worn off for many single people.
And that may be why the dating giant is currently shaking up its much-copied formula, launching Tinder Gold – a premium members’ service to separate the wheat from the single chaff.

The upgrade’s key appeal is that it will let you see who has already swiped right on you (that’s ‘likes you’ for the uninitiated) meaning you can narrow down the pool of singletons to those you know are already interested.
Currently, you only know if someone has swiped right on your profile if you swipe right on them and it’s a match.
Unveiling the revamp on its blog, the matchmaking giant says: “Think of it as your personal Swipe Right concierge – available 24/7 – bringing all of your pending matches to you.
“Now you can sit back, enjoy a fine cocktail, and browse through profiles at your leisure.”
Profiles that have right-swiped you will display a gold heart icon by their name.
The service will also have the extra features already included on the existing Tinder Plus upgrade, including Passport (changing your location) and Rewind (going back to the profile you too hastily scrolled past). There’ll also be Unlimited Likes, five Super Likes per day, one Boost per month and more profile controls.

The company are marketing the service as taking the “waiting and wondering” out of the dating app game, meaning busy single people can cut to the chase and find out who likes them and get chatting quicker.
The upgrade will be a paid-for service, though the price has not been released.
Unfortunately for UK users, Tinder Gold will begin testing in Argentina, Australia, Canada and Mexico first.
As of April 2015, Tinder users swipe through 1.6 billion Tinder profiles and make more than 26 million matches per day.
And while dating burnout is totally a thing, clearly a lot of people still hold out hope they’ll swipe their way to true love.
