The worst commutes in Europe revealed. Can you guess where London comes in?

For those of us who have been squashed against a complete stranger during rush hour, spent mornings stuck in a tube tunnel and evenings queuing to get onto a bus on the London transport system, you will most likely wholeheartedly agree with the next statement:
London, you really can bring out the worst in us.
So, it's somewhat comforting to know that it's not all in our heads. London has been ranked as one of the worst commutes out of six of Europe's major cities in a new study out today.
The poll of 5,500 commuters by Ford in London, Paris, Rome, Barcelona, Madrid and Berlin found that four out of five (80%) workers in the UK capital say they are delayed by hold ups on their daily journey at least once a month and 41% say their commute is getting “increasingly stressful”.
When asked to compare their journeys into work with other strenuous tasks, Londoners said commuting was more stressful than visiting the dentist and dealing with money problems.
Almost half (49%) of London residents said they failed to get to work at all on at least one occasion during the last year and a massive 93% of Londoners now allow extra time for their commute due to frequent delays.
The city scored one of the highest results on the commuter difficulties survey, only just to be beaten by Rome where 57% of participants said they find their daily trek into work "increasingly stressful".
A recent study by the UK Office of National Statistics also showed that each minute added to a commute can affect anxiety, happiness and general well-being.
Tomorrow, when we begin the mad dash to work, let's pretend we're walking down this beautiful country path instead...
