A new book envisages everyday household objects in romantic - and sometimes risqué - scenarios.
Bent Objects of My Affection: The Twists and Turns of Love by artist Terry Border cleverly manipulates household items and food to bring to life different aspects of love.
Terry's comical visions include two slices of bread in a toaster raising a glass to their relationship (A Toast To Us!, above) and a pair of spoons cuddling in bed (I Like it When We Spoon, above).
Explaining how he got started on his quirky hobby, the Indiana-based creator said, "I don't know what I was thinking. I took a toolbox from my grandfather after he died, and one day I started twisting a coil of wire that was inside. I just started making shapes. After a few months, I began getting good at this.
"I doodle situations to figure the best poses to show my idea. I picture people in the situation here, and how they would react ... I want as few (characters) as possible, so I can boil the story down to its most important elements."
Enter a surreal world of inanimate love with some preview images from the book, below...
