Game of Thrones without sex would be like Patsy without Eddy or Carrie without shoes. It just wouldn't happen.

In fact the frequency of the sex scenes, and bed-hopping, in the show sometimes leave us struggling to remember just who has 'done it' with who.

Fortunately for us, just in time for series 4, some thoughtful soul has created an infographic of all the people who have been doing the business in the popular fantasy show.

Created by Vince Avila for website Cool Material, the illustration connects all the characters with whom they've been having sexy time.

More importantly, it shows the kind of relationship between the different characters, such as Cersei and Jaime Lannister, who are related but still pursue their illicit affair.

Popular with the ladies is Tyrion Lannister, which will come as no surprise to anyone. And Theon Greyjoy has also managed to gain quite a few notches on his bedpost, however, unfortunately, it's not all fun for Greyjoy as his castration is also included.

Further down we see the complicated relationships of Renly Baratheon, which include his affair with Ser Loras Tyrell and his marriage to Loras' sister Margaery.

Finally, at the bottom, there's Jon Snow and his dalliance with Ygritte, Robb Stark and Talisa, as well as Khal Drogo and Daenerys Targaryen.

Phew, we need a lie down after all of that. Or a cold shower at least.
