As if a gold medal was not prize enough, Team GB's Olympic gold medal winners have been made into Lego figures by toy firm Savage Steel Minifigs.

While the Royal Mail have been busily fashioning special stamps of Team GB's gold medal winners, Savage Steel Minifigs have been just as industrious, making the miniature Lego figures of star athletes such as Jessica Ennis - complete with javelin - Mo Farah and Bradley Wiggins.

"With the Olympics taking over our lives right now, our focus has been drawn away from frivolous things and towards the more meaningful. Seeing those thousands of proud folk cheering on their countries helps you remember what's important," said Caroline Savage, who runs the minifigs.me website alongside her husband Nick. "Over at minifigs.me, we've been celebrating the Olympics with style, making sure that the Team GB Gold medal winners get a prize worth being proud of," she continued, referring to the little Lego figures fashioned by the duo.

Often beginning their work as soon as the medals have been won, the Savages have been almost as quick as some of Team GB's fastest Olympians, even managing to produce Lego figures of some the team's under-the-radar gold medallists, such as flyweight boxer Nicola Adams and double scull rowers Katherine Copeland and Sophie Hosking.
