When we were little, we loved nothing more than collecting up our pennies and heading to the local sweet shop. Once inside, we’d pore over the multitudes of gummies on offer for what felt like forever, carefully totting up prices, before taking hold of the scoop and filling a striped paper-bag with goodies – all personalised to our exact tastes and requirements.
We figured that, when we grew up, we’d eat sweets every single day on our way to work. But, as is so often the case, we were wrong; nowadays we tend to ignore old fashioned sweeties in favour of takeaway coffees… or, depending on the time of day, a drink of something stronger.
Thank goodness, then, that SugarSin is here to restore some magic into our lives.
They’ve only gone and opened an adult sweet shop in London’s Covent Garden – and it’s packed to the brim with boozy gummies.

Think Cuba Libre candies, which taste just like you’re sipping on a glass of spiced rum ‘n’ cola. Or, if you prefer wine, there’s a delicious array of rosé bonbons.
Best of all, there’s even two types of Prosecco sweeties; you can opt for the original gummies, or the brand-new fizzy version (which perfectly encapsulates all of the bubbles found in your champers flute).
All in all, it sounds like the perfect way to celebrate the end of Dry January.
However, if you’d prefer something a little less naughty and a lot more nostalgic, don’t despair; SugarSin are also stocked to the brim with all your old favourites as well.
From flying saucers to liquorice, chocolate almonds to homemade sea salt fudge, there’s over 130 carefully sourced sweet treats from all over Europe.
Best of all, SugarSin prides itself on providing something for everyone – which is why their range includes dairy free, gluten free, gelatine free, vegetarian, and vegan options.
It’s also worth pointing out that there’s no palm oil whatsoever used in any of their products, which means that they’re an ethical option, too.
If you want to get that literal kid in a sweet shop feeling (and who wouldn’t?), then head to 1 Russell Street in Covent Garden ASAP. We’re sure it’ll provide the perfect distraction from all the doom ‘n’ gloom of 2017…
