Girl, 10, writes brilliant list of boundaries for boy who fancies her

Chances are, at some point in your life, you’re going to be at the receiving end of an unwanted crush. But how to get someone to take your rejection seriously can be difficult – especially if you’re concerned with letting them down gently.

Which is why the internet is obsessed with a 10-year-old girl who has schooled her classmate on boundaries - and she's taking no prisoners.

The girl, Zoe, wrote a strict list of rules for her classmate, Noah (who doesn't seem to be getting the message she's not interested) that has now been shared thousands of times on Twitter.

The note, entitled 'Rules and Regulations' was first shared by New Yorker, Denny Dimples, who explained: “My friend who's a 5th grade teacher just sent this to me! I'm dead!!!”

Unfortunately for Noah, Zoe's not ready to date – explaining to him in her list that she’s too young for a boyfriend. And she wants him to leave her alone and will inform her father if he doesn’t abide by her rules.

“If you break any of these rules I’m calling my dad, my mum’s friend, my fake mum, and a janitor I know!!!!!!”

Handwritten in bright colours on a piece of A4 paper (presumably slipped from the classroom stationery cupboard), Zoe’s boundary list is something all women could do with hanging out from time to time.

People on social media are praising the 10-year-old for her list, and for letting Noah know that his behaviour is not acceptable.

Zoe’s rules:

1) Do not touch my shoulder.
2) Do not get behind me with all that playing + foolishness. (Don’t get behind me at all)
3) Do not speak to me unless it’s a greeting, which will be never.
4) Stop playing with me on the bus.
5) I have a short temper with people and you ruin my day because you play too much.
6) You like me (as a gf) but I don’t like you (as a bf) I’m too young!
7) Reread 500 times

We don't know what Noah did to warrant such a firm reprimand, but it can't have been good. We can only imagine he's got the message...
