5 luxury fashion buys to treat yourself to this season

Autumn is just the time of year when we begin to feel like buying a luxurious fashion gift. For ourselves. Because we deserve it. Here’s our pick of this season’s best.

1. The silk shirt

Klements is the master of printing on silk and we basically want everything it makes. This shirt in particular – with its magical print of castles and forests gives us all the fashion feels, as well as being the perfect way to upgrade our jeans to something a little more high end and fabulous. Which we like.

Escapist shirt, £390, Klements

2. The lounge knit

One of our favourite sections of cos is the ‘leisurewear’ rail. If you too dream of wafting around the house at the weekend in minimal luxey separates rather than some skanky old trackies, this soft alpaca and wool mix cardigan will start you off, and also gives us off-duty ballerina vibes. *pirouettes onto the sofa* *spills tea*

Wrap over cardigan in sand, £69, cos

3. The posh pjs

What is life without comfort? And what is autumn/winter without an amazing luxurious pair of pjs to sleep in like a bonafide sex kitten? *purrs* once you’ve owned a pair of silk pyjamas, you’ll never go back to boring cotton. These classic men’s style pyjamas with their subtle foulard print are feminine without being in the least girly.

Silk foulard print pyjama set, £169, the white company.

4. The cashmere socks

To really feel like you’re having a quality moment to yourself during the colder months, it’s all about slipping into a pair of electric blue cashmere socks post-shower, putting your feet up and having a large glass of red while you netflix mad men from the very beginning. Living. The. Dream.

Cashmere socks, £35, brora

5. The velvet suit

Nothing adds an injection of pure luxury to your outfit like something made of soft silk velvet. This matching top and trouser pairing – also ticking off the oriental trend – is the winter party outfit of dreams that we’re seeing teamed with statement chandelier earrings and a blocky mule.

Silk velvet mandarin top, £185 and silk velvet trousers, £175, both toast.
