Teeny tiny food art

We’re always being told that we need to reduce the size of our food portions. Well one artist has taken that advice and run with it, creating mini versions of everyday food.

Tel Aviv-based artist Shay Aaron produces amazing miniature food sculptures scaled down to a ratio of just 1:12 – smaller than a 1p piece.

Despite their teeny tiny size, his impressive food art still manages to look almost good enough to eat, and includes everything from sweet treats like doughnuts and cakes to lunchbox staples such as fruit and sandwiches.

He even makes food fun jewellery too (available from Etsy) - perfect for real food fans.

What do you think? Is this the smallest food in the world? Tell us your thoughts on Twitter or in the comments section below.
