For its ills, modern technology is a very convenient thing. Urgently need to transfer some money into your current account after overspending at the weekend? You can do it on your phone. Fancy going on a date tonight? You can find one on your phone. Craving a doughnut in the middle of the night? You can – yep – order one on your phone.
Food start-up NUFF is now offering a 24/7 doughnut delivery service to hungry Londoners. All you have to do is head to their website, decide whether you fancy doughnuts, brownies or cookies (or all three – no judgement here), and a box will land on your doorstep within an hour.
So far, so fantasy-land. Best of all, though, is the fact that all of NUFF’s creations are organic and (relatively) healthy, favouring natural protein, extra fibre and fruit-based sweetener over refined sugar, carbs and saturated fats – staying true to their motto of “junk food made good”.
A box of a dozen treats will set you back £14.99, while six costs £9.99 – with a £2 same-day delivery charge.
There are next-day deliveries available for people outside of London, while the 24-hour service will be touching down in the capital in December, meaning that we’ll only have to get through a few more doughnut-less nights. Phew.

The world’s current doughnut obsession can seemingly be traced back three years to the arrival of the cronut at New York’s Dominique Ansel Bakery, which saw people queuing round the block to get their hands on one – and elevated the ordinary O-shaped baked good into a covetable item.
Since then, we’ve born witness to the Everything Doughnut (a bagel-inspired doughnut topped with cream cheese and every kind of breakfast topping you can imagine), doughnut walls at weddings, and even doughnuts made out of sushi.
So it was really only a matter of time before we were able to get our hands on the good stuff at any hour of the day. Sweet as a nut.
