In fact, over a quarter of people revealed in the survey that a good old sarnie is their Sunday lunch of choice.

So, to make sure that none of us are scrimping unnecessarily on fillings, we’ve rounded up a batch of impressively hearty sandwich recipes, all packing irresistible bite.

From Ross Gellar’s Moist Maker (yes, the legendary Friends sarnie lives on) to tasty veggie door-stoppers, come right this way for a sandwich experience you’ll never forget.

The Moist Maker Thanksgiving Sandwich

The sandwich so good Ross Gellar was put on a sabbatical over it. Yes, Monica’s Thanksgiving leftovers sarnie has been recreated in real life, and yes, there’s even a Facebook fan page dedicated to all the different versions of it. We like this one; turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, tomato slices and of course, a gravy soaked slice of bread in the middle.
