It’s well and truly autumn now, which can only mean one thing: we can’t swing a black cat without bumping into a pumpkin-spiced something or other. Think Starbucks’s infamous pumpkin spice lattes, those viral pumpkin spice face masks and the plethora of orange candles available (all of which smell like you-know-what).

Now, though, Aldi have upped the game entirely with their genius Pumpkin Spice Liqueur creation.

The alcohol aficionados at the budget supermarket have been working hard to stay in our good books of late: they recently launched their biggest ever bottle of prosecco, not to mention a stonking advent calendar full of plonk.

Their newest creation, though, is sure to tickle the taste-buds of any autumn fans out there – and, at only £6.99 a pop, the Irish cream liqueur costs half as much as most others on the market.

Which, when you have a long list of Christmas presents to buy, is no small feat.

As you would expect, the drink’s creamy base has been infused with classic Pumpkin Spice flavours, and is balanced by hints of cinnamon and nutmeg.

The supermarket claims that the tipple is perfect for those who “love to experiment” with their drinks, and suggest serving the “beautifully rich and creamy liqueur” either neat over ice, or mixed into a latte for a boozy kick.

Or, if you really want to showcase your inner funky pumpkin, then why not whip up a special Halloween cocktail with the boozy concoction?

It’s worth noting that Aldi is not the only company to dabble in the creation of pumpkin spice liqueur: Baileys also released a version late last month after the success of their 2016 foray with the vegetable. Both versions are available in stores now.
