Forget volunteering at Glastonbury this summer: the real place to be is a festival that’s purely dedicated to all things pugs.
The squash-faced cuties continue to rise in popularity and are currently one of the UK’s favourite dog breeds.
So, if you’re one of the country’s many pug fans, you’ll definitely want to check this out.

Held in various locations across the country – including Salford Quays, Greater Manchester and Birmingham – ‘pugfest’ takes on various themes which encourages dog owners to dress up their pets accordingly.
The theme for the Manchester show is TV and film, so you can expect lots of Hollywood-inspired pugs, as well as a red carpet with paparazzi.
Or should that be… pugarazzi?

With agility courses and doggie treats the furry critters are sure to have fun, but there’s also plenty of human fun to be had in the way of bars, food stalls, and general pug admiring, too.
Best of all, you don’t even have to shell out for a ticket ( which is handy, as they are quickly selling out). Instead, you can volunteer to help out, and attend the festival for free.
Interested? Of course you are.
There aren’t all that many eligibility requirements: you just need to be over the age of 18 and have an up to date CRB check. If that’s you, then head over to their website and sign up, quick-sharp.
Remember, though: if you attend this pug festival, you’ll almost definitely come away wanting a fluffy friend of your own. Don’t say you weren’t warned.
