Women’s rights may have come a long way, but global misogyny is still disturbingly prevalent – particularly in the office of “pussy-grabbing” President Donald Trump.

Just one week after he reinstated a global gag order that bans US-funded groups from even discussing (let alone providing) abortions, a new report from Axios claims that the POTUS has enforced a sexist dress code upon his female staff.

According to a source who worked on the Trump campaign, the new POTUS truly believes that it’s what’s on the outside that counts; he ranks appearance above all else, and insists that his staff “look the part” for their White House roles.

But, while he has specific dress code instructions for the male members of his staff (ties are a must), things get a lot vaguer when it comes to the likes of Kellyanne Conway and the rest of his female employees.  

Trump tells them that they need to “dress like women,” the source reveals, before clarifying that most women still feel pressured to wear dresses in order to impress him.

“Even if you're in jeans, you need to look neat and orderly,” the source added.

Unsurprisingly, many people around the world have taken issue with the incredibly sexist implications behind this statement. And, as a response, thousands have taken to Twitter and shared their favourite photos of women in the workplace.

This, they hope, will help to school Trump in what it really means to #DressLikeAWoman.

While the president has yet to respond to the backlash, we have a sneaky suspicion that he’s going to dub it “fake news” and slam all those speaking out against him as nothing more than “nasty women”.
