Pizza is a powerful thing – it can make a hangover miraculously disappear, help you feel all warm and happy inside and a recent survey also proved that pizza can even motivate us at work.
So you might be pretty excited to hear that you can celebrate all things pizza at an actual festival dedicated to the foodstuff next month.
Brum’s Big Fat Pizza Festival arrives in Birmingham on Saturday 29 April. Hosted by food event organisers Taste & Liquor, it won’t just be straightforward pizza on offer either – there’ll be themed pizza competitions, pizza game shows and a pizza-inspired bingo rave (we’re not sure what that is either, but sounds good).
There’ll be local artists and DJs, as well as rum, gin and cocktail bars to wash it all down with.
The festival, which made its debut last year, will take place at events venue No21 Digbeth from 12pm to 8pm, and tickets (£7.50) can be pre-ordered here.
In the last few years we’ve had many unique pizza creations tantalise our taste buds, from chocolate stuffed-crust pizza to the world’s cheesiest pizza and the slighter odder Pizzaghetti smoothie. But a whole day surrounded by pizza? The stuff of dreams.
