The trailer for Emma Watson's new film, the adaptation of The Perks of Being a Wallflower, has finally been released.

In The Perks of Being a Wallflower trailer we see Watson's character Sam on-stage as a burlesque dancer, dancing, crying softly, talking with an American accent, and riding in the back of cars in a rather unsafe manner. Sam appears to be the antithesis of Hermione Granger, which will hopefully help showcase Watson's range and diversity as an actor.

The film's lead character Charlie is played by Logan Lerman and Watson's character Sam is the step-sister of Charlie's best friend, Patrick, played by We Need To Talk About Kevin's breakthrough actor, Ezra Miller.

Perks has been adapted and directed by the novel's author, Stephen Chbosky, which is a rarity in film these days, however, with the help of the same production team as Juno, Perks looks as though it has the makings of a cult "coming of age" favourite.
