Following the tragedy in Orlando where 49 people were murdered at LGBT nightclub Pulse on Sunday, thousands around the world have galvanised to make a stand against hate using the most powerful force known to humankind; love.

From mass vigils to donations of blood, time and money, communities both in and outside of Orlando have united in a show of true support and solidarity.

The #KeepKissing campaign in particular, is one of the brilliant ways in which people everywhere are showing their support for the LGBT community, in the wake of the deadliest mass shooting America has ever seen.

Initiated by HuffPost Queer, the campaign asks social media users to share a snap of themselves kissing a member of the same sex, and tag it with the hashtag #KeepKissing.

Taking the campaign to Twitter, organisers explain: “In light of the horrific tragedy that took place in Orlando yesterday, we want to show the world we stand together unafraid in the face of hate and that we won't be chased back into the shadows.

“Help us do that by tweeting a photo of yourself kissing the same-sex partner, friend — or just someone you find hot, smart or kind — using the hashtag #KeepKissing.”

Alongside other hashtags such as #lovewins, #loveislove and #loveconquershate, hundreds of Twitter users have now shared their moving snaps in a show of support, with many referencing Martin Luther King Jr.’s famous words:

“Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”

Huffington Post will be rounding up the tagged posts and sharing as many as possible online. To get involved, simply pucker up, take a photograph and share it on social media using the hashtag #KeepKissing.
