Hustlers now has an official trailer, which means there’s no holding back the excitement for what we think will be our new favourite watch.
After months of rumblings about Hustlers, the grifter movie with a cast so empowering we feel practically high on sisterhood just thinking about it, we have finally been gifted with an official trailer. Looks like our day just took a hefty turn for the better.
It stars Jennifer Lopez, Lilli Reinhart, Julia Stiles, Constance Wu, Cardi B, Lizzo, Madeline Brewer and Keke Palmer – we don’t think we’ve got this excited about a cast since Ocean’s Eight. And, as most of our favourite stories seem to be these days, the basis of the film follows a group of female grifters who, this time, are manipulating strip club customers into parting with their cash.

What do we know about Hustlers?
The film stars Wu as Destiny, a single mum looking for a way out of working in a strip club and Lopez as Romona, an older, more experienced dancer who acts as a mentor and leader of a group of entrepreneurial dancers at a New York City strip club.
They hatch a plan to manipulate the streams of Wall Street bankers that come to the club into giving them thousands of dollars, by drugging them so that they forget what kind of a ‘wild’ night they’ve had, and can’t dispute the huge bill at the end of it.
The idea for the film was born from a New York Magazine article by Jessica Pressler, in which she interviews Roselyn Keo, a former dancer in Manhatten strip club Hustler who did exactly this. However, as the film will show, this plan only works for so long when their ‘clients’ become suspicious and things get way, way out of hand.
Who is in the cast of Hustlers?
As previously mentioned, the cast of Hustlers is pretty unbelievable and extensive. Here’s the full list as we know it currently: Madeline Brewer, Julia Stiles, Lilli Reinhart, Jennifer Lopez, Lizzo, Cardi B, Constance Wu, Keke Palmer, Stormi Maya, Trace Lysette, Mercedes Ruehl, Frank Whaley, Rhys Coiro, Jon Glaser and oh, just Usher?!
When will Hustlers be released in the UK?
