This dreamy job will pay you to hunt for (and eat) creme eggs this Easter

Get ready for the most delicious dream job you could imagine.
So, we know we’ve touted some particularly special career opportunities as dream jobs before.
There was the chocolate tasting role at Mondelez, the company that owns the likes of Oreo and Cadbury, perfect for chocolate lovers. And who could forget that Airbnb gig, which asked a lucky few to move to Italy and learn to cook traditional recipes and support the community of beautifully rustic, old town? Oh, and don’t even get us started on the job that involved playing with cute cats on an island.
But, this time, we think we might have really found the holy grail of all jobs – and it includes hunting for Easter eggs.
In our humble opinion, Easter egg chocolate is some of the most delicious chocolate there is, especially when it comes to Creme Eggs.
Maybe it’s the just-right thickness of the chocolate used to make the egg shape, or the gooey fondant inside, but whatever chocolate sorcery Cadbury uses, we’re so on board. What’s even more fun, though, is gorging on Creme Eggs at Easter.
Every year, in celebration of this special time, Cadbury releases an exclusive batch of white chocolate Creme Eggs and finding one could mean winning up £10,000.
And to assist those who are really serious about bagging a white Creme Egg, website Bark.com has facilitated a new advert for a professional egg finder, to go and hunt one down.
The job will involve travelling to supermarkets that are selling the white creme eggs and buying a certain amount of wrapped eggs, opening them and looking for special white ones.
In this year’s white Creme Egg hunt there are 872 prize-winning eggs available, including nine £10k eggs, 22 £1k eggs, 66 £100 eggs, 700 £50 eggs and 75 £10 eggs. These eggs will be sold in Asda, Morrisons, Tesco, Co-op, Sainsbury’s, Marks & Spencer, Waitrose, One Stop shops and some independent retailers, and it will be up for negotiation between egg hunter and employer which shops are visited.
According to Bark.com, egg hunters can earn £45 an hour and will have to provide a photo ID, be subject to a full background check, and be willing to travel to several supermarkets either in their local area or around the UK.
Once you’ve applied, you will be matched up with someone desperate to find a white Creme Egg (but without the time to do so), and you will decide with them how many eggs to buy and how many shops to go to. They sit at home, while you go out and egg hunt.
The best bit about this job though? With the chances of finding a white egg still pretty low, that leaves a lot of normal, and completely delicious, Creme Eggs left for the eating. Bring it on.
