The Good News Report brings you nothing but positive news about wonderful people, to uplift and inspire you. This week, Jason Donovan inspired the internet with an act of neighbourly bravery.

Good neighbours really do become good friends, as this picture of Jason Donovan putting out a fire at 4am shows

Jason Donovan has gone viral for an act of neighbourly bravery this week, as pictures showed the former Neighbours star tackling a fire in his underwear at a house across the street from his.

Donovan, who had presumably gone to bed in his underwear and rushed outside without changing, grabbed a fire extinguisher and ran to the scene of the fire as soon as he spotted the flames across the street.

The actor and singer actually managed to put out the flames before the emergency services arrived, in an act the owners of the imperilled house called a “perfect example of when good neighbours become good friends,” in reference to the tagline of Donovan’s iconic show.

Speaking to the Sun Online yesterday, Donovan was quick to play down his actions.

“I just acted as anyone else would have acted at the time,” he said. “I praise the emergency services who turned up quickly and I hope anyone in my position would do the same.”

This woman demonstrated some serious dedication to get the perfect shot of her sister’s engagement

When Therese Merkel from Wisconsin found out her future brother-in-law’s plans to propose to her older sister Rachel, she was determined to capture the moment.

Not wanting to give away the surprise, she turned to some pretty creative measures to help her capture the perfect shot without ruining the moment, disguising herself as a shrub.

Merkel shared the incredible pictures of her Twitter, and of course, the whole event went viral. Alongside the most gorgeous photo of her sister during the engagement, Merkel shared two pictures of her crouched down in a bush wearing a head-to-toe twig inspired ghillie suit (the same kind that hunters wear to camouflage themselves) – and let me tell you, it’s a look.

“Sister got engaged this weekend and I dressed as a bush in the wilderness to watch/capture the moment,” she wrote. “We are one year apart… Why are our lives so different.”

Merkel’s sisterly gesture resonated on Twitter (the tweet has over 175,000 likes at time of writing), and many people were tagging their siblings to ask for the same dedication in the future.

Responding to the love the story has received, Merkel thanked her followers for all the love.

“Holy bologna!!!” she wrote. “Thanks to all the strangers giving me, Rachel and Andrew all this love… The reason for the season was really because of the specialness they share and the lengths we’re willing to go for the people we love, am I right… man, I’ve gotten soft lol.”

This video of three people dancing on a tube platform is so joyful to watch

A video of three teenagers doing some seriously impressive dancing on a tube platform has gone viral, and there’s no doubt that the attention is seriously deserved.

The video, which was shot at London’s Oxford Circus station, starts with one of the dancers breaking into dance and showing off some serious moves before two other dancers join her.

In the background, the crowd of people waiting for the train grows as they crowd to watch the trio doing their performance.

Like the iconic ‘Notting Hill Granny’, it’s spontaneous performances like these that demonstrate the spirit of Londoners – and we bloody love it.
