Phoebe Waller-Bridge has a lot to answer for.  She has given us some our favourite TV shows, dominated our water cooler chat, infiltrated our wardrobes and sparked some seriously fun (and affordable) drinks trends. So it makes sense that she’s now influencing what we’re wearing for Halloween, too.

Essentially, we just can’t get enough of her and the epic masterpiece that is Fleabag. And it seems no one else can either.

With Halloween just a few days away, the internet has become a breeding ground for fancy dress ideas and our favourites are brilliant takes on some of this year’s most iconic pop culture moments.

Of course, it was only a matter of time before Fleabag and its many niche references were mined for costume inspiration – with some being so good that the actual cast of the show couldn’t hold back from showing their appreciation. 

Journalist James Besanvalle posted an image of himself dressed as Claire, Fleabag’s sister, after the hair-cutting incident at the end of the second season, when she refers to herself as looking like a pencil. A rough time for Claire, we’ll all agree.

His picture was so brilliant, that the REAL Claire (aka actor Sian Clifford) tweeted him back, asking to see more pictures of other people who used Fleabag for their Halloween costumes. 

Much to our joy, the responses soon flooded in. Because, from Fleabag’s iconic black jumpsuit paired with a bloody nose to the Sexy Priest, it seems fans of the show have really gone all out for this year’s All Hallows Eve.
