We did our waiting – 12 years of it, in Azkaban.
Well, maybe we don’t quite possess Sirius Black’s levels of patience – but it does feel as if we’ve been waiting forever for the full trailer of Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them to land.
Now, at last, it’s here... and it doesn’t disappoint.
Based on the spin-off book from Harry Potter author JK Rowling, the film follows Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) – otherwise known as “Mr English Guy” to American muggles and wizards alike.
The trailer, which you can watch below, begins as the famous magizoologist clambers out of his own suitcase into 1920s New York, along with his collection of magical critters.
Things soon spiral out of control when the creatures break loose and escape into the city that never sleeps.
However, as you’ll soon deduce from the new footage, it’s not necessarily Newt’s magical menagerie that’s put the world in danger…
Although we imagine that it’ll only further stoke the flames of fanatical extremist group, the New Salem Philanthropic Society, who are busy advocating for a "Second Salem" and the eradication of wizardkind

As well as Newt, the trailer also introduces us to Percival (Colin Farrell), Credence (Ezra Miller), and “no-maj” Jacob (Dan Fogler), who unintentionally sets a series of world-shattering events into motion.
And we’ve no doubt that eagle-eyed Potterheads will spot the inklings of a romance between Newt and Porpentina (Katherine Waterstone).
The film is being produced by David Heyman, producer of all eight of the Harry Potter movies; Steve Kloves, who scripted all but one of the Harry Potter films; and Lionel Wigram, who served as an executive producer on the last four installments of the franchise.
Rowling herself is supplying the screenplay.
Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them arrives in cinemas on 18 November.
