If you love lounging around in your PJs and spending time chilling with dogs (and who doesn't?) then you're going to want to get the first flight to Atlanta in the US to trail this animal shelter's new scheme.
According to TIME, The LifeLine Animal Project has launched a sleepover program which allows families to spend the night with a dog. And yes - they even wear pyjamas!
The thinking is, that if a family get to see what it's really like to live with a dog then they'll be able to think more seriously about whether they'd like to adopt them. Hopefully, one night is enough to help the dogs find forever homes.
The theory has already proved true for one of the shelter's long-standing residents, a Pit Bull named Paul Anka. After spending nine months at the shelter he was adopted the day after his sleepover.
'In Paul’s case, his new family had been hesitant to adopt a pit bull, but when they had him overnight, all their hesitation went right out the window,' explains LifeLine PR director, Karen Hirsch.

According to the Lifeline Animal Project's website, 15,000 homeless animals enter their shelter each year. That's 40 animals a day who need a loving home. Hopefully the scheme will prove popular enough to make that a reality.
