When something pulls on the strings of our nostalgic heart, we're all ears and eyes.

But one man in particular has been consistently fuelling our love of Disney films by re-imagining what our favourite characters might look like as real human beings.

Finnish artist Jirka Väätäinen brought Princess Jasmine's wondrous locks and Prince Eric's bright blue eyes to life.

Now he's brought the villains back from the dead after an official Disney blog asked him to create something more sinister for Halloween.

From The Little Mermaid's Ursula to Beauty and the Beast's Gaston, the graphic designer has given the wickedest characters in animation life-like features.

Evil never looked so good.

Captain Hook, Peter Pan

The Evil Queen, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Gaston, Beauty and the Beast

Maleficent, Sleeping Beauty

Hades, Hercules

Ursula, The Little Mermaid
